Exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant in community respiratory medicine to support a team and patients in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
The post-holder will be based at Hemel Hempstead with the opportunity to attend other West Hertfordshire bases and support Clinical Care across our geography.

Who are we looking for?
Hallam Medical would love to hear from GMC registered Consultant Respiratory Specialists with immediate availability to support this service.
You will support this team of specialist respiratory nurses and physiotherapists to provide specialist clinics, hospital at home, home visits, management, home oxygen assessments and review, pulmonary rehabilitation and specialist clinics. Alongside this the service offers consultant clinics in West Hertfordshire.
As part of this role you will participate in clinics for all respiratory conditions including:
– Obstructive Sleep Apnoea
– Non-Invasive Ventilation
– TB Nursing Service
About the service
The service provides care for patients with a wide spectrum of respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, tuberculosis and also obstructive sleep apnoea and domiciliary non-invasive ventilation services.
It supports patients across the 4 localities of West Herts (Watford and 3 Rivers, Dacorum, St Albans and Harpenden, Hertsmere) with its main physical base being at Hemel Hempstead.
This service runs Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00. Patients using this service are also supported to self-manage their conditions through a seven day a week advice line operating between 8.00am to 20.00pm, supported by our specialist nursing and therapy teams.

– Full GMC Registration
– Relevant CCT or equivalent
– Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via one of the following:
a. Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
b. Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)
c. European Community Rights
– MRCP E
– Higher research degree (Masters / MD / PhD) D
– Teaching Qualification D
– Training in Leadership and/ or Management D
