About the role
We are currently recruiting for a unique role, offering a fresh challenge ideal for Registered Mental Health Nurses wanting to broaden their clinical skills.
Hallam Medical will be sponsoring your 111 Pathways Training and supporting you throughout. You must be able to commit to full time hours for 8 weeks to complete the training.
In this role you will be fully trained to answer calls professionally, providing clinical knowledge and advice to the patient’s condition/illness and signpost appropriately. You will be fully integrated into the 111 team, where you will undergo training and mentorship, whilst still enjoying the benefits of being employed on an agency basis.
Your role will be to answer 111 calls from the general public, then using your professional clinical knowledge you will provide immediate access to clinical advice on their condition or illness, and signpost to appropriate services.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for passionate and dedicated NMC Registered Mental Health Nurses with excellent computer and communication skills who have a passion to make a difference working autonomously in a high pressured environment.
The training academy is an 8-week paid course consisting of full time and will take place on-site in Chesterfield.
- The first 2 weeks is classroom based and is heavily IT orientated with an assessment at the end of the 2 weeks.
- You will need to pass the assessment to move onto the next stage of training.
- There are two other assessments throughout the course and passing these will depend on you passing the course.
- You will also be required to do some distant learning which includes a pack and some E- Learning.
Following the training you will have a job within the 111 team and will be able to secure a min of 20 hrs per week working on site (more hours are available to suit your lifestyle!)
