Lateness and cancellations
When and how to let us know you cannot attend your shift
Thank you for all your hard work through these most difficult of times.
With the pressure on our clients services increasing and therefore more patients needing to be seen and treated, it is even more important that we do not let our clients down.
For your ease and convenience here is a quick reminder of our lateness and cancellation policy and what to do if you are running late or do need to cancel your shift.
We understand emergencies happen.
We know life gets in the way of even the best laid plans, and we understand emergencies can and do happen which can mean you may be late or are unable to attend your shift.
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week which means you can call our team anytime on 0333 800 0395.
What should you do if you think you are going to be late?
We understand that lateness can happen to anyone, trains get delayed, accidents and traffic jams can result in your journey being longer than expected.
If you expect to be late for your shift, you should call us as soon as you know so we can update the client.
By calling our team immediately we can then tell the client your expected arrival time and give them the opportunity to ask another member of staff to stay on until you arrive.
This provides you with the reassurance that the client is aware leaving you to focus on your journey and arrive to work safely.

If you know in advance that your plans have changed and you can no longer fulfil your commitments, please let us know with at least 48 hours’ notice prior to the start of the shift to allow a enough time to find a suitable replacement.
In cases of emergency cancellations we expect, as a minimum, 4 hours’ notice from you to cancel your shift, anything less than 4 hours means we may be unable to find a suitable replacement.
