Today is National Happiness Happens Day.
Every year on the 8th of August, people around the world celebrate National Happiness Happens Day.
This day of recognition was set up by the Society of Happy People aims to spread joy, celebrate being happy and encourage us to make other people happy.
Happiness is contagious, so remember if you are happy about something tell someone, if someone else is happy, remember to listen to them!
This year as individuals, families, and as a nation we have faced one of the most challenging times of our lives and now, more than ever, it is important to take stock of our lives and be thankful for what we have and look forward to the future.
There are many ways to achieve happiness here are our top five:
1. Smile – Remember: we smile because we’re happy, and smiling causes the brain to release dopamine, which makes us happier!
At Hallam Medical we smile a lot, we love what we do, and we work hard with you to find the right role for you, that not only suits your skill set but fits in with your lifestyle.

Flexible working is perfect if you like to plan a head, giving you the freedom to do what you love doing in your spare time.
3. Exercise –Exercise can help decrease stress and improve our overall mood and happiness. Choosing an exercise that you enjoy, can help lift your mood!
Did you know, exercise boosts your mood because it fundamentally changes your brain, both in the moment and over time. At Hallam Medical our team love keeping fit, whether it is running, CrossFit, Yoga, Strong Woman, swimming or taking our dogs for a walk.
