The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) free virtual annual conference ‘In the Spotlight: Nurses Leading Care in People’s Homes and Communities’ took place over four days in October.

We are delighted to once again sponsor the QNI annual conference. The conference delivered inspirational and thought-provoking sessions highlighting nurses’ excellent work within community and primary care.

Hallam Medical is proud to have an exclusive partnership and support the ongoing work of the community nursing charity The Queen’s Nursing Institute. Our partnership agreement with the QNI provides sponsorship to the charity’s annual conference, support to the QNI’s professional networks and helps to raise the profile of the amazing commitment and care nurses bring every day to individuals, families, carers, and communities across the country.

As gold sponsors of the QNI conference, Chief Nurse, Lisa Locker, presented on Day 2. Lisa spoke about the work we do at Hallam Medical and how her role has a Chief Nurse has made a positive impact.

The conference agenda included:

• Day 1 – Evidence-based Practice: Updates from the Chief Nurses from all four countries and learn about the importance of research in the community.
• Day 2 – Workforce Development: Discussion on the current state of the community nursing workforce and the regulation of Advanced Practice.
• Day 3 – Population Health and Sustainability: Learn more about the best ways of managing health inequalities and sustainability in healthcare.
• Day 4 – Integration: Exploring the challenges and opportunities of Integrated Care Systems and more.
