In September 2024, Hallam Medical proudly exhibited as a platinum sponsor at the 13th International Council of Nurses Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Nurse (ICN NP/APN) Network Conference.

The event, which took place from the 9th to the 12th of September at P&J Live in Aberdeen, attracted over 800 delegates from 45 countries.

Hallam Medical was represented by a dedicated team of experts, including Chief Nurse Lisa Locker, Senior Marketing Executive Charlotte Currie, Commercial Director Neil Heaton, Business Managers Gemma Smith and Rachel Thomas.

The Conference Theme: A Global Vision for Health

This year’s theme, “Advanced Practice Nursing: An Invaluable Investment for Global Health”, was aligned with the International Council of Nurses’ strategic priorities, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the overarching goal of Universal Health Coverage. The theme set the stage for important discussions on the role of advanced practice nurses in shaping the future of healthcare on a global scale.

Throughout the week, attendees were treated to a lineup of inspirational speakers and hands-on workshops, covering contemporary topics and emerging trends in advanced practice nursing. The event not only served as an educational platform but also as an opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas with some of the brightest minds in the field.

Networking and Collaboration

During the conference, Hallam Medical had the chance to connect with many attendees, discussing how our business supports healthcare services across the UK through the placement of highly skilled Advanced Practitioners. We also met with our key partners, The Queen’s Nursing Institute and The Association of Advanced Practice Educators, attending their insightful sessions that focused on the future of advanced practice nursing and professional development.

Involvement in Shaping Advanced Practice Regulations

One of the highlights of the event was Hallam Medical’s invitation to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Round Table, where advanced practice regulations were discussed. This allowed us to be at the forefront of the conversation, advocating for the needs of Advanced Practitioners and ensuring we remain at the forefront. It was a pivotal moment, reinforcing our commitment to supporting and advocating for the ongoing evolution of advanced practice regulations.
