Children’s Community Nurse (Band 7)
Posted 04 September 2025 by UrsulaHallam Medical has an opportunity for a Band 7 Children’s Community Nurse to join a Community Paediatric Nursing team in Romford.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery and ongoing development of our clients Community Children’s Nursing Service, supporting children, young people, and their families closer to home.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide expert, evidence-based care aimed at preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and ensuring effective case management across a range of clinical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care in the community setting.
- Maintain and develop expert clinical practice across a wide range of paediatric conditions.
- Provide case management and ensure continuity of care for children and families.
- Work in partnership with children, young people, parents/carers, and multi-disciplinary agencies to achieve best outcomes.
- Support service development initiatives within the community children’s nursing service.
- Provide leadership and line management to junior members of the team where required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN/RNC) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Significant clinical experience within children’s nursing, ideally in the community setting.
- Extensive skills in: Sick child assessment, Medicine administration, Wound care, IV therapy, Central line management, Venepuncture, Oncology care, Long-term health conditions, Palliative care
- Experience in line management and supporting junior colleagues.
- Service development experience.
- Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.
