Hallam Medical Sponsors the Urgent Health UK Annual Conference as a VIP Sponsor
Hallam Medical was proud to sponsor the Urgent Health UK (UHUK) Annual Conference as a VIP Sponsor, held at Staverton Park Hotel in Daventry on 13–14 October.
Under the theme Intelligence. Integration. Inclusion., the conference explored how national ambitions can be translated into practical improvements for patients and communities.
From neighbourhood health and population health management to digital transformation, workforce challenges and safer alternatives to hospital care, the programme brought together national perspectives and the experiences of providers delivering care every day.
The conference united national health leaders and social enterprise healthcare providers to explore the next era of urgent and integrated neighbourhood care.
Panel Discussion: Can Clinical Leaders Deliver Better Care, Better Cultures and Better Performance at the Same Time?
On Day One, Hallam Medical sponsored a panel discussion featuring Lisa Locker our Chief Nurse and Director of Clinical Governance & Quality, alongside Dr Caroline Stovell and Reiss Bond, Director of Urgent & Emergency Care, from DHU Healthcare.
Chaired by UHUK Chair Nigel Gazzard, the discussion explored how clinical leaders can balance the delivery of high-quality care, positive workplace cultures and strong organisational performance.
Key themes included:
- How clinical leaders can improve patient care, workplace cultures and performance simultaneously.
- The barriers faced by temporary clinicians.
- Why leaders’ responses to concerns matter.
- How the way feedback is received can influence whether someone feels confident to speak up again.
One key takeaway was the importance of protecting time for leadership, supervision and staff support. These are essential elements of a culture that prioritises safe, high-quality patient care and empowers clinicians to raise concerns.
Lisa Locker said, “I was proud to take part in this important panel discussion and share my experiences.”
UHUK Awards 2026: Celebrating People First
On Wednesday evening, the UHUK Awards celebrated the people and initiatives making a positive difference to care across the membership.
Hallam Medical was proud to sponsor the People First Award, with our CEO, Deborah McCain, presenting the award and announcing the winners.
The award recognises the importance of putting people at the heart of healthcare, celebrating organisations that work collaboratively, support clinical teams and develop services around the needs of those who use and deliver them.
Congratulations to Integrated Care 24, who took home Gold, Local Care Direct, who received Silver, and NEMS Community Benefit Services, who were awarded Bronze. A fantastic achievement for all three organisations!
Proud to have supported this year’s conference
The UHUK Annual Conference provided a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues across urgent and integrated care, share experiences and reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
At Hallam Medical, we believe that supporting clinicians, championing strong clinical leadership and putting people first are fundamental to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.
We are proud to have supported this year’s conference and look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with our UHUK partners to help shape the future of urgent and integrated neighbourhood care.
