Hallam Medical attends the UHUK CEO Workshop
Last month, Hallam Medical was proud to attend the Urgent Health UK (UHUK) CEO Workshop, with Directors Lisa Locker and Gemma Smith representing the organisation alongside healthcare leaders, member organisations and trusted partners from across the urgent and integrated care sector.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to bring together experts from across health and care to explore the opportunities and challenges facing the sector from a range of perspectives. Through collaborative discussions, attendees shared knowledge, experiences and innovative approaches to support the future of healthcare delivery.
Day 1 discussions focused on four key themes shaping the future of health and care:
- Diversification and growth beyond traditional urgent care with OneAdvanced
- Partnerships and alliances with Hallam Medical
- Digital, AI and innovation leadership with CLEO Systems
- Winning and leading within neighbourhood health systems with Blinx Healthcare
During the workshop, Gemma Smith and Lisa Locker led discussions around the question:
“How do organisations build partnerships and alliances that support sustainability and growth?”
The session highlighted that successful partnerships are built on trust, shared values and a clear vision. Key takeaways included:
- Build partnerships with purpose – Successful collaborations are mutually beneficial, with clear objectives and aligned values from the outset.
- Go further together – While organisations may move “faster alone, but further together,” collaboration creates greater long-term impact.
- Share knowledge and expertise – Exchanging skills, experience and best practice helps accelerate innovation and strengthen services.
- Define the value for both parties – Setting clear expectations and benefits from the beginning ensures stronger relationships and a greater return on investment.
- Create lasting resilience – Strong partnerships enable organisations to grow, adapt and better respond to the changing needs of health and care.
Hallam Medical also shared examples of its established partnerships, including relationships with Urgent Health UK, QICN, AAPEUK, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and a range of trusted service providers.
These partnerships provide opportunities to:
- Share knowledge, expertise and best practice.
- Facilitate introductions across professional networks.
- Gather valuable feedback from national forums and industry groups.
- Connect partners with relevant national organisations and resources.
- Strengthen collaboration across the wider healthcare community.
The workshop also highlighted the significant opportunities for partnership working within the Urgent Health UK membership. By sharing clinical knowledge, supporting service improvement initiatives and collaborating on tests of change, member organisations can collectively improve patient care while strengthening the resilience of the wider urgent care system.
The UHUK CEO Workshop was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, explore the challenges facing health and care, and build relationships with colleagues from across the sector.
Events like these reinforce the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of healthcare. At Hallam Medical, we remain committed to developing strong partnerships that support innovation, improve services and ultimately deliver better outcomes for patients, healthcare professionals and the organisations we work alongside.
We would like to thank Urgent Health UK for hosting such a valuable event and look forward to continuing these important conversations as we work together to strengthen health and care services across the UK.
