#QNI2023

The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) free virtual annual conference ‘In the Spotlight: Nurses Leading Care in People’s Homes and Communities’ took place over four days in October.

We are delighted to once again sponsor the QNI annual conference. The conference delivered inspirational and thought-provoking sessions highlighting nurses’ excellent work within community and primary care.

Hallam Medical is proud to have an exclusive partnership and support the ongoing work of the community nursing charity The Queen’s Nursing Institute. Our partnership agreement with the QNI provides sponsorship to the charity’s annual conference, support to the QNI’s professional networks and helps to raise the profile of the amazing commitment and care nurses bring every day to individuals, families, carers, and communities across the country.

As gold sponsors of the QNI conference, Chief Nurse, Lisa Locker, presented on Day 2. Lisa spoke about the work we do at Hallam Medical and how her role has a Chief Nurse has made a positive impact.

Highlights from Lisa’s presentation:

“One thing that particularly attracted me to work with Hallam Medical as Chief Nurse, were the Hallam Medicals values. They really are at the centre of everything they do as a team, and they do really make them who they are.”

“I am responsible for both clinical governance and safeguarding working with the team, clients and clinicians to ensure we deliver on these important agendas.”

“I am still a practising Advanced Nurse Practitioner, ensuring that I work at least one shift a month to ensure my practise and knowledge is still up to date and relevant.”

“I work very closely with our trusted partners and attend regular meetings and support them as required, expanding my own knowledge and appreciation of other nursing pathways.”

“By working closely with our partners and horizon scanning we can be ahead of changes and develop our solutions and workforce accordingly.”

“I view everyday as I always have and whether in uniform or out of uniform, I am not only representing Hallam Medical but also the nursing profession.

The conference agenda included:

We are incredibly proud to have an exclusive partnership with the QNI, QNI CNEN and the ICB Chief Nurse Network. Having the opportunity to support the outstanding work each organisation delivers is so important to us at Hallam Medical.
