111 Health Advisor (Remote)

As a 111 Health Advisor, you will often be the first point of contact for patients seeking medical advice and support. Through calm conversations, careful listening and structured assessment pathways, you will help callers access the right care, from the right service, at the right time.
You will manage calls from patients, members of the public and healthcare professionals with urgent and non-urgent healthcare needs. Using a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS), you will assess callers’ needs and direct them to the most appropriate service in line with established protocols.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Recent 111 experience: You must have worked as a Health Advisor with another NHS 111 provider within the last six weeks.
- Experience in post: A minimum of one year’s experience working as a 111 Health Advisor.
- Audit and training records: Evidence of three months of recent, complete audits and an up-to-date training log.
- IT skills & equipment: Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems. A compatible headset, dual screens and a smart card reader.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills, with a professional, patient-focused approach.
