Diabetes Specialist Nurse (Band 6)
Posted 24 October 2024 by Reece LandHallam Medical has an opportunity for a Diabetes Specialist Nurse (Band 6) to support a healthcare service in Windsor, London.
As the Diabetes Specialist Nurse you will work closely with the Diabetes Leads and Primary Care Networks. You will be responsible for facilitating improved diabetes care through the provision of advisory services, including telephone support and face to face support either with practitioners or with practitioners and people with diabetes simultaneously.
You will be supporting community nursing teams, support to people with diabetes who are housebound or in residential and nursing homes. It will also include supporting people with diabetes whilst they are inpatients on community and mental health wards within the Trust as appropriate.
The shifts available are Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Experience working with diabetes.
- NMC Registration
- Experience with teaching home blood glucose monitoring and self-injection to type 1 diabetic patients.
