Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Paediatrics

Hallam Medical has locum opportunities for experienced Healthcare Assistants (HCA) with a background in paediatric care to support an Urgent Care Centre in Liverpool.

In this role you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages, with a particular focus on assessing and supporting children and young people presenting with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinicians in the assessment and treatment of patients within the Urgent Care Centre.
  • Provide safe and effective care to paediatric and adult patients.
  • Perform clinical observations, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and oxygen saturations.
  • Support with procedures such as ECGs, specimen collection, wound care, and basic first aid.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment in line with infection prevention and safeguarding policies.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
