Happy International Nurses Day and Happy Birthday Florence Nightingale.

Every year on 12th May we celebrate International Nurses Day and Florence Nightingale’s birthday.

This year the International Council of Nurses (ICN) has chosen the theme ‘Our Nurses. Our Future. The economic power of care’ which reflects the aim to reshape perceptions, demonstrating how strategic investment in nursing can bring considerable economic and societal benefits.

Our Agency Nurses make a huge difference to patients’ lives every day and play a vital role in providing and coordinating person-centered care. They demonstrate resilience and play a key role in providing high quality clinical care to patients, whether this be in hospitals, primary care services, within patients’ homes or within care homes.

It is important they are recognised as the highly skilled clinicians that they are. They show clinical excellence, kindness, compassion, and respect.

Everyone at Hallam Medical would like to say a big thank you to each one of our Nurses for their continued hard work and dedication in supporting our clients’ services, ensuring they remain open, and most importantly ensuring their patients are cared for.
