Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
Posted 07 July 2026 by CharlyHallam Medical has locum opportunities for Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) to support GP Out of Hours, Home Visiting Services, and Telephone Triage Services across Newcastle upon Tyne.
We are looking for ANP Prescribers who are confident in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You’ll be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting with minor illness and minor injury conditions, ensuring timely and effective clinical care.
Working autonomously, you will be confident in making complex clinical decisions, including prescribing medications, initiating treatment plans, and referring patients to other healthcare services where appropriate.
This varied role offers the opportunity to work across multiple service areas, with all shifts including a combination of telephone triage, clinical centre appointments, and home visits.
Client Requirements:
- See and treat all ages
- See Palliative Care patients
- MSc or Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Practice
- Level 7 Minor Illness and Minor Injury
- Independent Prescribing Qualification (V300)
- OOH/GP surgery or urgent care experience
- Telephone Triage experience
