Advanced Practitioner (ANP/ACP)
Posted 19 August 2026 by RhianeHallam Medical have an exciting opportunity for experienced and dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) to join the Urgent Treatment Centre in Frimley, Surrey.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced ANPs and ACPs who enjoy working in a fast-paced urgent care environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Successful clinicians will work as part of an established multidisciplinary team, managing a wide range of minor illness and injury presentations.
As an ANP or ACP within the UTC, you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and safe discharge or onward referral of patients presenting with a variety of urgent care needs. You will work alongside experienced General Practitioners, nurses, emergency practitioners, and wider hospital teams in a supportive and collaborative clinical setting.
This role is ideal for autonomous practitioners who are confident in clinical decision-making, thrive in urgent care environments, and are committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with minor illness and injury
- Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based clinical care
- Request, interpret, and act upon appropriate investigations where required
- Prescribe medications independently (where appropriately qualified)
- Identify patients requiring escalation or referral to secondary care services
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary UTC team
- Support patient flow and contribute to the efficient running of the department
You Will Need
- Be a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)
- Hold current registration with the NMC or HCPC, as appropriate
- Have completed an accredited Advanced Clinical Practice qualification (or equivalent)
- Be an Independent Prescriber
- Have previous experience working within an Urgent Treatment Centre, Minor Injuries Unit, Walk-In Centre, GP Out of Hours, Emergency Department, or other urgent care setting
- Demonstrate excellent communication, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills
- Be confident managing undifferentiated presentations autonomously
- Have experience assessing, diagnosing, treating, and discharging patients safely within an urgent care environment
