Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)
Posted 06 August 2026 by GemmaHallam Medical has opportunities for Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) to support Acute Respiratory Infection Hubs (Urgent Care) across the North East.
We are seeking experienced and motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioners with an Independent Prescribing qualification and Urgent Care experience to support Acute Respiratory Infection Hubs across the Winter Pressures period. Shifts are available 7 days a week on an ad-hoc locum basis and 26-week block bookings are also available.
In this role, you will:
- Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting with acute respiratory conditions in an Urgent Care setting.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, supporting timely clinical decision-making, and helping to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions while ensuring an excellent patient experience.
- Play a key role in delivering innovative, responsive Urgent Care services and making a real difference to patients in your local community.
- Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
Client Requirements:
- MSc / level 7 qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent
- Independent Prescriber qualification
- NMC / HCPC registration
- Excellent clinical assessment skills, and experience in Urgent, Emergency or Primary care settings
- Experience in assessing and managing respiratory conditions
- Confident in managing patients of all ages, including paediatrics
