Celebrating Advanced Practice at the South Yorkshire ICB AP Conference
On Monday 9th June 2025, we were proud to attend and sponsor the South Yorkshire ICB Advanced Practice Conference, hosted at Sheffield Hallam University.
The event brought together Advanced Practitioners from across all healthcare sectors, each bringing their own unique clinical expertise. Representing Hallam Medical were Chief Nurse Lisa Locker, Brand and Strategic Partners Lead Charlotte Currie, Compliance Manager Francesca Boulter, and Recruitment Consultant Rhiane Blake.
The day provided a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the vital work Advanced Practitioners do across South Yorkshire and beyond. It was inspiring to see so many professionals sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practice.
A range of insightful sessions were delivered, many led by Advanced Practitioners from the region. Topics covered included:
- NMP (Non-Medical Prescribing) Update
- Paediatric Gastroenterology
- The Impact of Physical Health on Mental Health
- Workplace-Based Assessments and Facilitating Effective Case-Based Discussions
- Liver and Pancreatic Conditions
- Writing for Publication
- Depression and Its Management
- Menopause
Each session highlighted the depth and breadth of expertise within the Advanced Practice community.
We’d like to extend a big thank you to Sarah Fisher, Professional Lead for Advanced Practice at South Yorkshire ICB, for the kind invitation to attend and sponsor the event. It was a brilliant day and a true celebration of the incredible work being done by Advanced Practitioners.
