Hallam Medical are supporting the Aspiring ACP Event in Sheffield

Next Tuesday, 1st July, Hallam Medical will proudly be supporting the Aspiring ACP Event taking place in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Organised by NHS England and universities across the region, the event offers aspiring Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) students the chance to take part in a short preparatory course designed to support them at the beginning of their trainee ACP journey.

In 2021, students from across the region evaluated a pilot preparatory workbook developed by our partners the Association of Advanced Practice Educators. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many students requesting further tailored introductory sessions to help prepare them for their new roles.

Hallam Medical will be onsite at Sheffield Hallam University, while the event will also run simultaneously at the University of Sunderland, with live-streamed talks taking place on the day.

We are passionate about Advanced Practice and proudly champion the autonomy and clinical expertise ACPs bring to healthcare services and patients alike. We’re honoured to support this event and delighted that our Chief Nurse, Lisa Locker – an Advanced Nurse Practitioner by background – will be attending, alongside our Brand and Strategic Partners Lead, Charlotte Currie, and Principal Consultant, Taylor Crapper.

If you’re attending, please come and say hello to our team and learn more about how we support Advanced Practitioners across the UK.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Angie Banks, Associate Head of School – Health & Social Care (Advancing Practice), for inviting us to support this important event.
