Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 2023
#CervicalCancerPreventionWeek
Today marks the start of Cervical Cancer Prevention Week.
Cervical Cancer Prevention Week is an annual campaign held every year in January to raise awareness of cervical cancer and how it can be prevented.
Cervical Cancer can affect women anywhere, anytime, and anyplace, therefore it is so important to raise awareness and educate as many people as possible to help reduce the risk of getting cervical cancer.
How can you help to reduce the risk of cervical cancer?
The best ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer is:
- Attend cervical screening when invited
- Take up the HPV vaccination if aged 11-18
- Know where to find support and further information
- Know the symptoms of cervical cancer and seek medical advice if experiencing any.
