Huge congratulations to Joseph Cryan who has recently achieved a distinction in his Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship course.

Joe was Hallam Medicals’ first apprentice and joined our team in September 2021 where he works within our Compliance Team.

As part of his apprentice, Joe studied Business Support which included stakeholder management, organisational, coaching, and external impacts on a business.

Joe said, “The apprenticeship has increased my knowledge of business support significantly.”

We asked Joe what he enjoyed most about his apprenticeship.

“I enjoyed every aspect of my apprenticeship! It was really useful for me to complete a more practical type of learning, where all of the examples for the content is based off things that I have learnt whilst working, or research/tasks that would benefit me in my role. Therefore, the thing I have most enjoyed about the apprenticeship is how it has enabled me to gain experience in a professional environment, whilst learning more about how businesses operate.”

Joe said he was overwhelmed with happiness when he found out he passed his apprenticeship.

“I was overwhelmed with happiness as I felt that all the hard work had paid off. Getting the final result made me realise how much I had improved professionally and personally throughout the apprenticeship, for example my confidence has improved significantly compared to when I started. In addition, I was so grateful for the support my team and Sarah provided throughout the apprenticeship, as this had a huge impact on my self-belief, and made it less difficult.”

Clinical Resourcing Manager Faith Shaughnessy said she was ecstatic when Joe passed his apprenticeship and was extremely proud of him.

Faith said, “He has worked so hard, and it is well deserved. Joe is a valued member of the Compliance Team and is highly thought of. He has progressed through his apprenticeship; he has taken on more responsibility and now manages a large pipeline of candidates who he supports through our registration process. Joe is able to progress candidate’s applications to join Hallam Medical quickly and efficiently and makes the candidate journey through registration a smooth and speedy one! Joe has a great future to look forward to at Hallam Medical and I know he will go from strength to strength. “
