Occupational Therapist (Band 6)
Posted 01 December 2025 by PeterHallam Medical has an opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated Care Home Team in Nottinghamshire.
We are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to support the dementia outreach element of the service. This rewarding role involves working closely with patients living with advanced dementia, where your clinical expertise will play a crucial part in improving quality of life and supporting care home staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy interventions to individuals with advanced dementia.
- Manage and support patients presenting with challenging behaviours.
- Assess and implement strategies for posture and positioning, helping to maintain skin integrity and reduce the risk of complications such as contractures.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Shifts are Monday–Friday work pattern (8:30am–4:30pm)
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with patients with advanced dementia.
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Compassion, resilience, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic care home environment.
