Powered by People: Hallam Medicals 2025 Awards Celebration 

On Friday, 27th June, Hallam Medical celebrated its end-of-year awards at The Victoria, in Kelham Island, Sheffield. 

This year, we chose to keep our awards celebration locally here in Sheffield, where our journey began 18 years ago. It was a chance to reflect on and celebrate our team’s achievements and successes during what has been a particularly challenging year. 

The venue, The Victoria, was originally built in 1884. It has been thoughtfully and sustainably renovated from a state of dereliction, with great care and attention to detail. 

Hosted in the Chapel, the ceremony began with company updates presented by our Directors – Charlotte Heaton, Julia O’Connor, Chris Whawell and our Head of Business Development – Gemma Smith. The updates were shared across four key areas: Financial, Talented People, Operational, and Brand & Commercial. 

These updates reflected not only the incredible contributions made by the Hallam Medical team, but also the resilience, adaptability, and determination shown throughout a year that brought both challenges and opportunities. The entire team played a vital role in driving success and delivering excellence. 

To add a fun, team-building twist, our Business Manager, Warren Tomlinson, hosted a Hallam Medical version of Family Fortunes, with six teams competing to be crowned the ultimate champions. Congratulations to the Compliance, Marketing, and Clinical team on their win! 

The awards ceremony began with our Sales Awards. This year’s winners were: 

  • Tia Pallass, Recruitment Consultant 
  • Lyndsey Driver, Senior Recruitment Consultant 
  • Liam Kelleher-Shan, Senior Recruitment Consultant 

All three were recognised for their outstanding dedication and support to our clients and clinicians in their recruitment roles. 

This year’s Values Award was chosen by our Chief Executive Deborah McCain with the winner being Head of Business Development, Gemma Smith, for embodying all of Hallam Medicals core values – Team, Committed, Positive, Resourceful, Trusted, Deliver and Care.  

Our runners up were each chosen by a director for their consistent demonstration of our values:  

  • Warren Tomlinson, Business Manager – Strategic Sales Operations 
  • Charly Robinson, Principal Consultant 
  • Frazer Chilimina, Management Accountant  

Other award winners included: 

  • People’s People Award – Charly Robinson, Principal Consultant  
  • Rising Star Award – Reece Land, Senior Recruitment Consultant  
  • Business Support Person of the Year – Francesca Boulter, Managing Consultant – Clinical Compliance  

To close the ceremony, CEO Deborah McCain thanked our team for their continued dedication and support, highlighting their resilience during what had been a challenging year. We were also pleased to be joined by our Non-Executive Directors, Alex Munro and Simon Ratcliffe. 

Once the awards ceremony ended, we headed downstairs to the bar and courtyard area to continue the celebrations together. We surprised our team with a magician who wowed the team with close-up card tricks, adding a touch of magic to an already special evening. 

A big thank you goes to Charlotte Currie (Brand and Strategic Partners Lead), Charly Robinson, and Charlotte Heaton for their outstanding effort in organising and planning such a fantastic event.  

At the heart of it all is our people. Every success, every milestone, and every award are a testament to the care and commitment of the Hallam Medical team. We truly are Powered by People, and we can’t wait to see what we achieve together next.
