Supporting Advanced Practice in Wales: Swansea Bay Conference 2026

Hallam Medical was delighted to attend the Swansea Bay Multi-Professional Advanced Practice Conference – “The Pillar Potential”, held on Thursday 14th May 2026 at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.

The conference was opened by Paula McLaren, NMC Senior Advanced Practice Advisor, setting the tone for a highly engaging and insightful day focused on the continued development of advanced practice across Wales.

Hosted by Swansea University in partnership with Swansea Bay University Health Board, the third annual conference once again brought together Advanced Practitioners from across primary and secondary care to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and professional development within advanced practice.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders, including representatives from health boards and governing bodies such as the NMC and HEIW. Disciplines represented included ACPs, physiotherapists, pharmacists, occupational therapists and paramedics, reflecting the strength and diversity of the multi-professional workforce.

Across the day, there was a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and the future of advanced practice roles in Wales. Attendees were able to gain valuable insight into current challenges and opportunities, alongside inspiring examples of best practice from across the system.

At Hallam Medical, we are passionate about supporting and developing Advanced Practice, and it was a pleasure to be part of such a well-executed and insightful event.

We were also grateful to receive feedback from the organisers, who kindly shared: “I just wanted to say thank you for your support at last weeks event.”

Our Brand and Strategic Partners Lead, Charlotte Tomlinson, and Business Development Consultant, Rhiane Blake, attended on behalf of Hallam Medical and valued the opportunity to connect with colleagues and contributors throughout the day.

We would like to extend our thanks to the organisers, speakers, and all attendees for making the conference such a success.
