Advanced Practice Week recognises the importance of Advanced Practice, as well as raising awareness of the value Advanced Practitioners bring to our health service.

Development in the role of the Advanced Practitioner 

At Hallam Medical we know the development in the role of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner has developed significantly, so much so the Advanced Practitioners now play a key role in The NHS Long Term Plan (2019). Health Education England (HEE) supports the increasing skill mix and training of Primary Care and Healthcare teams, recognising the potential of Advanced Clinical Practice (2017). 

Advanced Clinical Practitioners provide safe, accessible, and high-quality care for patients which is shown throughout their professional background such as nursing, pharmacy, paramedics, and occupational therapy. They are healthcare professionals who are educated to master’s level, which they have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on expanded roles and scope of practice care for patients. Advanced Clinical Practitioners enhance capacity and capability within multi-professional teams by supporting existing and more established roles.
