Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
Posted 11 March 2026 by CharlyHallam Medical has opportunities for Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) to support a client delivering Telephone Triage consultations from their contact centre in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Working from the client’s contact centre in Newcastle, you will provide a comprehensive telephone triage service, for patients requiring the out of hours services, providing appropriate information, advice or referrals, as per the agreed protocols.
The role involves prescribing medication where appropriate, and referring patients to primary, secondary, community, or emergency services when required.
Available shifts are primarily weekday evenings and weekends.
Skills and Requirements
- MSc or Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Practice
- Minor Illness and Minor Injury qualification (Level 7)
- Independent Prescribing Qualification (V300)
- Experience in triage and/or clinical streaming
- Experience conducting telephone consultations
- Experience managing paediatric patients from birth
- Current NMC registration
- Experience working within Primary Care and Urgent Care settings
